Two types of rivets are most commonly used in pop up campers.

Pop Rivets and Expansion Rivets.

Pop Rivets are designed to swell between fastening points, joining the parts together. These can also be called Blind Rivets.

Expansion Rivets are designed to expand open behind blank areas. Think of Expansion Rivets as a type of hollow wall anchor that you might use at home.
