We purchased this because we broke one of our cables after not making sure all our latches had been opened. This cable was a great replacement. We texted it before taking our PUP out and using it and it’s working good as new. My husband had to cut it a bit to make it the exact length we needed but I feel like that’s exactly what you need to ensure a good fit. So far so good.

Used this cable to splice the broken cable that snapped at the adjuster bolt, I used three 1/8th in cable splices, just for reassurance and used a hydraulic cable splice tool to crimp.

Worked out great. Just make sure you measure twice and cut once. Oh and don’t press too hard on the swedges or you’ll crush them but you can always get more at the Home Depot if that happens. Other than that easy install. This kit gives more than enough cable to work with.

Last fall we came home from the Fair, I wanted to open up the camper and I forgot to open one of the clamps and the cable broke. It was cold so I though I would repair it in the Spring. Boy o Boy what a chore to replace the lift cable on the rear of the camper. The Lift System Repair Manual was difficult to read, but I got through it after a day and a half I finally fixed it. The replacement cable works great. I have a pix of the broken cable. Please note the lift cable must be completely cranked down before you have enough slack to attach it to the he whiffetree.

This part is correct for the camper and was plenty long enough. Installation is a pain because I had to use a lift to raise the top of the camper and then prop it up with some 2x4s to remove the support beam. Make sure you look at how the old cable is routed for reinstallation. I also had to remove the water tank to work the cable through the proper pulleys. Total install time was approximately 4 hours with a mechanics background.
