The break away switch is located on the trailer A frame, and automatically engages the trailers brakes in the event of a separation while towing.
- Completely sealed breakaway device
- Insures braking on towed vehicles during accidental separation of trailer and towing vehicle
- Required in some states

- Lanyard measures 36 inches in length

Yearly testing is recommended. Pulling the pin out of a fully operating switch engages the electric trailer brakes.
