The drive hub extension threads onto the drive shaft. This crank component is what you see sticking out of the camper, and what you put the crank handle into to raise and lower the roof.
Installation Tip: This kit comes with a fine thread and coarse thread 5/8 nut. Check your correct thread size before installation and use a thread locking agent like LOCK-TITE when installing the 5/8 nut.

I purchased a used pop up camper earlier this year. After a few times cranking it up and down, it didn't work. Right from the beginning, working with Coleman Pop up Parts was a great experience. I especially appreciated Derek Smith's expertise. After emailing him some pictures of my old drive hub extension and drive shaft, he recommended I purchase the drive hub extension. He indicated where I could find the videos he posted that would show me how to install it. After following all of his instructions, I installed the new drive hub extension and my pop up was fixed! We've been on two family camping trips with our pop up camper since then and everything is working great!

17 year old hub extension failed on Fleetwood Santa Fe. This replacement kit fit perfectly. In about 15 minutes the hub was fully functional. The top lifted like it did when it was brand new and retracted like new as well. Hard to believe just the extension and internal spring/spacer kit made this much difference in lift and retraction. This is a fantastic piece of kit.

This drive hub extension is exactly the right part to replace the old part. My drive hub extension was completely seized. I replaced the item with the new one and it works perfectly.
When you use the youtube instruction video for Coleman pop-up camper repair you will have no trouble.

My pop up would not crank up, I watched the online video and ordered a replacement drive hub extension. The replacement was easy to install and the trailer cranks up smoothly
Worked perfect for what I needed. My camper was cranking up just fine, but on the way back down it had started to 'spin' rather than ratchet back down (meaning I could let go of the handle and it would spin as the top came down).
Changing this out took a bit of fiddling, but all together maybe an hour. Parts were perfect, and I just needed to make sure I had things in the right order. Watch the video a time or two before you try the work, and it'll go pretty smooth.

My current extension tube was missing a few parts (unbeknownst to me!). After learning that I needed a new one, I popped right onto this site and picked out what I needed. The video that went along with it was invaluable as I assembled my new tube. Cranks up and down like a dream!
The part was a perfect fit. There should have been a picture of the the install assembly as there is a definite order the pieces need to go together. Had to search on line manuals to find it. Would have been simple to include the instructions. Also beware there is a big duty and import charge to Canada.
Bought the part and only needed the tube and pin. Was concerned that same tube that came with pop up trailer could be easily screwed out lost or stolen. This part will be kept in the car that tows trailer as a spare along with the crank that we also bought. We will retain the other pieces that came with tube and pin though we are not sure their purpose.
Parts came in as ordered - were easy to put together. Would be helpful to include a picture of the sequence the parts were to be put on - but a you_tube video and a parts lists helped.
this is a great site if you need Fleetwood (Coleman) popup parts that are very hard to find these days. I got the exact parts I needed and the pop up is working great again as it should
