The new seal was exactly what my wife and I needed to redo the top of our new to us 2000 Coleman Sun Valley pop up trailer! It’s high quality and we had a few feet left to spare!
We did order it in early June however thinking it’d be here in plenty of time for our annual 4th of July trip and once it got within a week of the trip and still hadn’t arrived we were getting nervous. So I emailed the company and they got it shipped out fast to make sure it got here in time. Very pleased with the website and will definitely be ordering from again! Thank you!!
I prepared the surface of the camper, used a little gasket glue(just in case), and started banging it on! Tough around the corners, even with a heat gun. The wife helped hold it straight so it didn't get dirty. She fed it to me out of the box. A lot of work, but it looks great and hopefully will keep the rain out. Previous owner installed a non coleman gasket. It was rotted and looked like it didn't fit. This one is definitely better than the ones half the price.
I have a 2002 Coleman Sun Valley and I recently replaced the ABS roof and I needed a seal. It worked great installation was easy. We recently had a windy thunderstorm and I checked the interior for leaks no leaks whatsoever. It’s a great product and I recommend it.
The corners were a little tough but with two people doing it made it a lot easier. The seal hadn’t been replaced since the camper was new so it was definitely needed. I was glad you had it in stock because we couldn’t find it anywhere in town.
Store owner replied:
With the outer ABS removed the thickness of your roof edge likely decreased some. If you remove it, compress the seal channel evenly to create a tighter fit.
When I got my pop up the seal was beyond done. The first thing I did along with ordering a new cover was to order the new seal.
I pulled the old seal off, cleaned the top as how Derrick said in the video, and had it done all in a bit over an hour.
Please, please don’t be cheap and use epoxy for a quick fix on an old seal! Spend the money and get a new seal. It took me 5 hours to replace it. We bought a 2000 bayside and the seal started falling apart. The video was a huge help. When I started taking it off it, was a total pain! New one is on, I have to silicone some areas to water proof it. If you take care of the old models they will take care of you.
The seal fit good. Followed the video directions from the site. Added a before and after photos. Hardest part was cleaning the edge before installing the new seal. The new seal spread pretty wide across the front but was because of the camper top not the seal. I added some white exterior cauking along the front edge to keep water from laying in between the seal and the camper top. Seems to be a qood, quality seal.
The old rubber seal was original the the pop-up, ordered a new one from Coleman Pop-up Parts when I was refreshing the top. The to refresh turned out great and the new seal was a little long too make sure it went all the way around, but with a little trimming it turned out great.
The part arrived quickly and was the exact fit. The video was extremely helpful and made for a quick installation. So glad for this resource for our pop up!
Great fit. Even had a bit extra. Cut well and really liked that it had the adhesive strip. Anxious to see how it holds up. Really added the final touch to our top restoration.
Watched the video and it goes on so easy, will need a rubber mallet it will help with installation. It is a 1person job but an extra set of hands is always nice. Great product seems better than the original.
Worked perfectly. Followed the instructions from the video. Cleaned thoroughly, used the alcohol solution and used the rubber mallet (a necessity). Thanks.
it is a great looking seal. After watching Derek Smith's video on how to install the new top seal, I felt really comfortable to be able to do the job. After I started to remove the old seal, it literally fell off. The HARD part was the next 4+ hours it took to take off residual glueing for the old seal. Installation was tricky going around the corners. Dereks video showing the use of heat gun was a great life saver (See my picture). Derek makes it look really easy. Not quite but really rewarding to see what you can do when all done.
Exactly what I needed to do some much needed updates to my used trailer. I watched a few YouTube videos that showed how to do the overall replacement, then purchased the gasket from y'all. It was easier than expected. Quality product that should last many seasons.
