Model years after 1999 use this kit most often. Kit come with a cable, crimp, nut, and washer.

For your cut, measure the cable to the length in the chart for your year and model. Cut the cable to this length BEFORE you make the loop.

I cut the cable to 161” length (per the manufacturer manual for my 10’ Sedona) and it worked just fine. I had to purchase a crimping tool, but that seems like a good investment.
Replacing a broken lift cable on my 2010 Coleman Santa Fe was a big project, but having the right parts made it much easier. We cut the universal cable to the exact length specified in there website and it went in without any problems. Roof works perfectly again. Thanks!
Had to replace the cable on my used pop up camper that I had just purchased. The first time I popped it up it broke on me. It arrived in a timely manor and I was able to get it installed in time to take our first camping trip. I was glad I chose to do the install myself and will probably be ordering more cables in the future if the need arises
Last fall we came home from the Fair, I wanted to open up the camper and I forgot to open one of the clamps and the cable broke. It was cold so I though I would repair it in the Spring. Boy o Boy what a chore to replace the lift cable on the rear of the camper. The Lift System Repair Manual was difficult to read, but I got through it after a day and a half I finally fixed it. The replacement cable works great. I have a pix of the broken cable. Please note the lift cable must be completely cranked down before you have enough slack to attach it to the he whiffetree.
Purchased the universal bolt end lift cable kit because one of my lift cables snapped. Paying close attention to Coleman’s repair instructions made the job go pretty smoothly. Would definitely recommend this product for anyone with a broken lift cable.
Great product. Good instructional video. A tip, I measured and marked the correct length on the cable with nail polish and cut it after I routed it. This gave me a little bit more length to work with at the loop end. Also I used a hydraulic crimp er which can be operated with one hand. Thank you Derek.
Took about 2 hours to install. The videos were an incredible help, and the cable length was perfect! We live in Ontario and I believe shipping was about a week. It was helpful to be able to email the parts department, and they responded within a day, to ensure we didn't order the wrong cable.
I did a dummy and tried to lift my roof with the front still secured. It could have been worse but I only broke the lift cables. Coleman Pop Up Parts gave me advise and the exact part I needed to fix my mess up.
Had to trim to length using the chart on the website. Used the instructions on the website. The instructions were made to encompass several different models but with a little attention I was able to successfully replace the failed cable. The procedure requires a lot of attention and care to ensure that the top is cribbed properly while lifting. Our trailer has an air conditioner which adds extra weight to the top.
I had accidentally broken the cable that was on my pop-up and couldn't find it until I found this site and was able to get it with no problem and the people are really nice and easy to speak with
These parts are hard to find so I'm glad to get it. It was a universal lift cable that has to be cut to the correct length. Fortunately they had a chart that showed me the length and a video on installing the cable. That really helped. But I did crimp the compression sleeve without routing the cable through all of the pullys (my fault) but was able to buy just the compression sleeve from Coleman pop-up. Thanks guys!!
lift system wasn't working on my 2001 coleman pop-up trailer. did some investigating and discovered that two of the cables, one actually parted, were not working properly. was told by a couple of rv repair places that I would have to fabricate the parts myself as they weren't made or available anywhere. did some quick online searching and found coleman pop up parts and there it was. bought four of the lift cables and some extra cable crimps. the parts were delivered on time and a day later my camper is working better than new. would recommend to anyone to use this site and to especially to use their repair instructions. I almost hope something else goes wrong so I can buy something else and enjoy that feeling of fixing it. well maybe not right away!
I have a 2004 Coleman Fleetwood Utah. The cable worked great. It took me awhile to figure out how to install it. Instalation videos seem to be lacking for lift cables. I was able to cut it to length using the 2 pieces of the broke cable.
